A couple of years ago when I was still uploading frequently, a friend stayed over at my house for a week. I did not want to wait a week until my next upload, but I also did not want to just make a video while my friend just sat there and watched. Therefore, for every day that week, I uploaded videos that he could be involved in: gaming videos. Since then I uploaded a few more on my channel as well. Some people liked them and some people did not, so I ended up taking a poll to see how many people on each side there were. It ended up being close, but more people did not want me to upload gaming videos. However, since it was so close, I did not want to stop altogether since some did enjoy my gaming videos.
I wanted to make a new channel for gaming, but at this point I did not know how to make a new channel. I tried looking it up on the internet, but I was not sure if the tutorials presented were exactly what I was looking for. Well, when I was at a summer camp, there was someone I showed card tricks to who ended up being some sort of YouTube professional; I think it was his job in some way. On the last day of camp, he gave me his contact information and said if I ever had any questions, I could reach out to him. That is exactly what I did. He ended up linking a video that showed how to do it, and it was the method I had found originally, but at least now I had confirmation. The last thing I needed was a name, so I decided to play off of the "Magic Master" name scheme which is how I came up with "Gaming Guru." As for the profile picture for this channel, I was not going to have one, but a friend decided to make one using both of our channel logos and some Minecraft highlights that we’ve both been a part of.
